We provide accommodation, meals and personal care for those who find it difficult to cope at home without assistance.
All of our bedrooms have en-suite facilities and for added reassurance, a call bell system should you ever need to summon assistance. Some of the rooms boast a sea view. Your personal items of furniture and treasured possessions can be brought in with you as we know how important it is for you to make this your home. Our lounge and conservatory provide a relaxing environment for you to listen to music, watch television or to meet with others. But of course the choice is yours and you may prefer to have a television in your room.
Our in house cook provide fresh home cooked food at lunchtime and a lighter meal at supper time. The meal service is flexible so we can always produce something you like to eat and any special needs can be catered for.
Our approach is simple, you choose how to spend your day but if you want to socialise, keep active and independent, we are able to provide some activities such as a visit from the hairdresser or chiropodist, music and movement, quizzes and a film club. In the summer months we encourage those who want to help out with gentle gardening or if you prefer you can just sit and enjoy spending time in our lovely gardens.
Our manager, Mahendra, is a Registered Nurse and has over 20 years of experience of caring for people. We do not provide any nursing care at Westdene House but can arrange access to your GP, District Nurse and other health and social care professionals if needed. We are able to care for those who have Dementia. Our friendly and experienced staff work hard to ensure a relaxed and happy atmosphere, helping you to build the confidence you need to ‘live every moment’ and encourage you to think about how you would like to spend your days.
There is plenty of free parking for visitors in Rye Close or by the seafront. The lively Worthing town centre and Worthing Pier are less than a mile from us and there are very good transport links nearby.
